The model 124 is an eight tube, AC powered superheterodyne, built to receive the broadcast band. The tubes and their purpose are:

47 AF Output (2 in a push-pull configuration)

A second, plain clock face was used in later versions of this set.

The model 127 chassis was also placed in this cabinet.
