1942 Crosley Model 52TE-U

The 52TE-U is a five tube, two band, AC/DC powered superheterodyne using chassis number 77. It was one of the "Rainbow of Sound" series that was produced in late 1941 and the first few months of 1942. When war was declared, the Crosley Corporation was given approximately six months to retool for the war effort. This set was one of the last civilian receivers produced until the end of W.W.II.
