Introduced in late 1946, this set was sold well into 1947. It is a single-band, five-tube superheterodyne. The 56TU(O) used the same chassis and a bakelite cabinet looking exactly like the 56TH (see the 56TH gallery page). The tubes used in this set are: 12SA7 (or GT/G) Mixer 12SK7 (or GT/G) I.F.
