1931 Crosley Model 59
"Show Boy" Repwood Cathedral

This is the rarest of the 1931 Crosley Repwood Cathedrals. The model 59 chassis is a compact, tuned radio-frequency receiver that uses two stages of amplification. It was placed in two cabinet styles that I know of; the "Show Boy" cathedral, and the "Oracle" grandfather clock/radio. The speaker is a model 299, which has a 1300 ohm field coil.

The tubes and their purpose are:
35 First RF Amp
35 Second RF Amp
24 Detector
47 AF Amp
80 Rectifier
