1937 Crosley Model 495/616
Photo contributed by Walt Brygier

The Crosley model 495 had a sales model number of "616." Confusing, yes, but that is the way Crosley did many of their sets in the mid thirties.

The model 616 is a six tube, three band, AC powered superheterodyne. It is designed to use either metal tubes or the equivalent glass tubes with octal bases.

The tubes used in this set are:
6A8G   Oscillator/Modulator
6K7G   I.F. Amplifier
6H6G   Diode Detector
6F5G   Audio Frequency Amplifier
6N6G   Output
5Z4MG   Rectifier
