1934/35 Crosley Tombstone
7V2 "Seventy"
815 "Battery Eight"

This is a confusing cabinet to pin down, because it contained several chassis's over a fairly short period of time in 1934/35.

The first chassis that I can confirm was used in this cabinet is the 7V2 chassis. The Crosley service supplement index lists the sales model name as "Seventy." The 7V2 was a seven-tube, dual band receiver covering the regular broadcast band, plus the next higher frequency band to 5000 Kc.

The 7H2 and 7H3 chassis's were also placed in this cabinet. Only difference was the tuning knob. With each of these, the sales model name was "Seventy-Two AF." Click here to go to the page for this model.

The last chassis that I can confirm was used in this cabinet is chassis number 815, having a sales model name of "Battery Eight." Eight tubes with two bands covering 540 to 1710 Kc in the broadcast band and from 5800 to 15,300 Kc in the short-wave band.
